Algemene Informatie: De Regio Valencia is een belangrijke toeristische, landbouw en industriële regio in Oost Spanje, met een mediterraan klimaat, rijke cultuur, bruisende steden en een lange kustlijn. Valencia is zowel de hoofdstad als het belangrijkste stedelijke centrum van de Regio Valencia. De bekende Costa Blanca ligt volledig in de provincie Alicante en in de autonome regio Valencia (Comunidad Valenciana). De provincie Alicante (Costa Blanca) is een van de meest dynamische en toeristisch populaire provincies van Spanje, met een mix van stranden, bergen, historische steden en een mild mediterraan klimaat. De Costa Blanca staat bekend om het beste klimaat van Europa, met veel zonuren per jaar. De economie leunt sterk op toerisme, vastgoed en de diensten eromheen. Landbouw speelt ook een belangrijke rol, producten zoals citrusvruchten (sinaasappels, citroenen, amandelen, wijn en olijven) worden lokaal geproduceerd. Deze producten worden zowel voor de binnenlandse markt als voor export verkocht. Jaarlijks trekken ongeveer 28 miljoen toeristen naar region Valencia, dit zijn vooral toeristen uit Noord-Europa maar ook vele Spanjaarden uit Noord Spanje.

Taal: Spaans maar in Valencia en veel kustgebieden wordt ook Valenciaans gesproken, een regionale taal nauw verwant aan Catalaans.

Ligging: Regio Valencia grenst in het noorden aan Catalonië, in het zuiden aan Murcia, in het westen aan Castilla-La Mancha en Aragón en in het oosten aan de Middelandse Zee, met belangrijke stranden zoals de Costa Blanca en Costa del Azahar. 

Klimaat: De Regio Valencia heeft een mediterraan klimaat met warme zomers, milde winters en veel zon, met koeler weer in het binnenland en in de bergen. De Costa Blanca staat bekend om zijn mediterraan klimaat, dat een van de belangrijkste redenen is waarom het zo populair is bij toeristen en buitenlandse bewoners. In de zomer van juni tot september is het warm en droog, gemiddeld 25-30 graden, met pieken van 35 graden tijdens hittegolven. In de winter seizoen van december tot februari is de temperatuur mild met een gemiddelde temperatuur tussen de 12 en 18 graden. 

Beste Reistijd: De maanden maart, april, oktober en november zijn ideaal. Temperaturen zijn mild (15-25 graden) en er is minder toerisme. 

Hoogtepunten: Valencia, Benidorm, Calpe, Jávea, Altea, Albir, Torrevieja, Alicante, Guadalest, Elche, Sierra de Bernia en Aitana (bergen), Cuevas de Canelobre (grotten) en Parque Natural de las Lagunas de La Mata y Torrevieja (zoutmeren en flamingo's). 

General Information: The Valencia Region is an important tourist, agricultural, and industrial region in eastern Spain, with a Mediterranean climate, rich culture, vibrant cities, and a long coastline. Valencia is both the capital and main urban center of the Valencia Region. The famous Costa Blanca is located entirely within the province of Alicante and the autonomous community of Valencia (Comunidad Valenciana). The province of Alicante (Costa Blanca) is one of the most dynamic and tourist-popular provinces in Spain, with a mix of beaches, mountains, historic cities, and a mild Mediterranean climate. The Costa Blanca is known for having the best climate in Europe, with many hours of sunshine per year. The economy relies heavily on tourism, real estate, and the services surrounding them. Agriculture also plays an important role, with products such as citrus fruits (oranges, lemons, almonds, wine, and olives) being produced locally. These products are sold both for the domestic market and for export. Approximately 28 million tourists are attracted to the Valencia Region each year, mainly from Northern Europe, but also many Spaniards from Northern Spain.

Language: Spanish, but Valencian, a regional language closely related to Catalan, is also spoken in Valencia and many coastal areas. 

Location: Location: The Valencian region borders Catalonia to the north, Murcia to the south, Castilla-La Mancha and Aragon to the west, and the Mediterranean Sea to the east, with important beaches such as the Costa Blanca and Costa del Azahar. 

Climate: The Valencia Region has a Mediterranean climate with warm summers, mild winters and plenty of sunshine, with cooler weather inland and in the mountains. The Costa Blanca is known for its Mediterranean climate, one of the main reasons it's so popular with tourists and foreign residents. Summer, from June to September, is hot and dry, averaging 25-30 degrees Celsius, with peaks of 35 degrees Celsius during heat waves. Winter, from December to February, is mild, with average temperatures between 12 and 18 degrees Celsius. 

Best Time to Travel: The months of March, April, October, and November are ideal. Temperatures are mild (15-25 degrees Celsius) and there is less tourism.
